22 May 2007, Prof. Yuri Kivshar received an award of Federation Fellowship from the Australian Research Council to support both theoretical and experimental studies of the Nonlinear Physics Centre in all-optical technologies, nanophotonics and metamaterials.
3 May 2007, Prof. Yuri Kivshar was awarded the Lyle Medal from the Australian Academy of Science.
